The Human Resources Division strives to maintain the effective workforce needed to accomplish the overall mission of the Sheriff's Office. Our goal is to assist in building and maintaining an effective, diverse, and highly functioning workforce. This is accomplished by recruiting, employing, retaining and developing staff by maximizing excellent employee relations while providing an excellent benefit package.

The BCSO Benefits Guide 2021 summarizes the benefits available to employees of the Sheriff's Office. Annual Leave and Sick leave is accrued by years of service. The Sheriff's Office also has a longevity program which pays out the first payroll in October each year. Health and Dental Insurance premiums are listed here along with additional insurance options.
