Alabama Sheriff's Youth Ranch System
Baldwin County Sheriff's Boys Ranch
Baldwin County is most fortunate to be the host for one of the branches of the Alabama Sheriff's Youth Ranch System. Located in Summerdale, Alabama, is the Alabama Sheriff's Youth Ranch Systems Boys Ranch which is currently home to 14 young men.
The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office supports the operations of this Ranch by participating in the Baldwin County Sheriff's Boys Ranch Support Group, as well as, hosting the Annual Sheriff Taylor Wilkins Memorial Golf Tournament and providing school supplies for each Rancher at the beginning of the school year (when needed).
The Annual Sheriff Taylor Wilkins Memorial Golf Tournament is named after Baldwin County's longest serving Sheriff, Taylor Wilkins. Sheriff Wilkins served Baldwin County from 1946 to 1975. During his tenure he was an integral part in having the Boys Ranch placed in Summerdale, AL. This tournament serves not only as a reminder of Sheriff Wilkins vast contribution to the lives of young men through the Ranch system, but also serves as a reminder of a continued effort to provide a safe haven for children who qualify to come to the Ranch System. The Tournament is usually held in Spring of each year and is open to the public. Should you have questions regarding sponsorship or playing please contact Major Jimmy Milton @ 251-937-0200 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
