There can be several reasons for this. First, the deposit may not reach the inmate account immediately. Sometimes it takes a couple of hours.
Secondly, bank deposit information is printed by the finance department during regular M-F office hours. Therefore statements for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are printed and put into the inner office mail on Monday. Other statements are released the day following deposit.
If after an appropriate time, the inmate has not received a receipt he may request one in writing with the pod officer. If there continues to be a question, please call finance at 251-239-4303 during regular office hours (M-F 8:00 am -4:30 pm) for further help.
As with any release of an inmate with money from our facility, a check is issued to the inmate. In this case it is sent with the officer in charge of transporting the inmate and re-deposited to an account at the new facility.
Inmate money is collected by electronic deposit services through CyberSuite, a reputable firm used by many jails in the United States. Money may be deposited three ways: using the kiosk in the docket lobby, by phone 1-866-394-0490, or by internet @ www.MyCarePack.com .
Call your bank first. Then if necessary, phone 1-866-394-0490 and explain the situation. Be prepared to give them your receipt number if deposited by kiosk or the last four digits of your credit card if by internet.
Credit cards and checkbooks will be mailed to an address provided by the inmate. The drivers license will be in his wallet and given to him when he is released unless the arresting officer has kept it.
