Rules for Visitation
The following are the rules as they are presented to the general public. This list is not all-inclusive and may be revised at any time.
Violating Visitation Policy
Visiting privileges may be cancelled, denied, restricted, and / or suspended under the following circumstances, but not limited to:

Inmate Deposits
Money may be sent to inmates during confinement. These funds can be used for commissary purchases, emails, messages and tablet purchases such as e-books, music and movies.
Money can be deposited to an Inmateโs Trust Account two different ways:
1. Cash, Debit or Credit Card - The Baldwin County Sheriff's Corrections Center has a kiosk located in the Public Docket Lobby.
2. Debit or Credit Card- Internet Deposit at team3.inmatecanteen.com

Commissary
Inmates incarcerated in the Baldwin County Sheriffโs Corrections Center are allowed to make purchases for food items and personal items. The inmate can place orders for goods on the Centerโs approval list. Inmates can use funds on their inmate trust account. They can purchase items such as clothing, food, and tablet services.

Inmate Emails and Messaging
Inmates are able to communicate via emails and messaging. The email and messaging services provide an alternative to phone and video visitation communications. Email and messages are allowed to have attached photos however they are screened for compliance with Corrections Center policies.

Attorney Visitation
The Baldwin County Sheriffโs Corrections Center provides (3) three options for attorney visitation.
1. Video Visitation. Video visitation is currently set to not record any visitation scheduled by attorneys. All attorneys assigned as a public defender will obtain the video visitation at no cost. You will be required to verify your status before approval for privileged video visits.
2. On-Site Visitation. On-Site Visitation is available Monday โFriday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the exception of black out times. All visitors, including paralegals and translators, must be registered when making the appointment. All on-site visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance by calling Inmate Visitation at 251-580-2581. Attorneys and approved visitors must check-in through Docket with a valid photo ID and current Bar Card or agency identification.
3. Email. Email services are available for attorneys. All public defenders are approved to use the service without cost. All other attorneys will incur the cost of using the service. The emails marked legal will not be monitored.
You must register as an attorney. Your information will be verified before you are approved for attorney email privileges.

All written incoming non-privileged (personal) mail must be on a postcard no larger than 4โx 6โ in dimension and written in blue or black ink only. No embellishments, colored inks, markers, crayons, colored pencils, paint, etc., will be accepted.
The following must be present as the return address on all correspondence addressed to the inmate while incarcerated at the Baldwin County Sheriffโs Corrections Center: Senderโs First and last name, Complete Mailing address, City, State and Zip Code
Return addresses must be hand written in blue or black ink only. No colored inks, markers, crayons, colored pencils, paint, stamps, stickers etc., will be accepted.
Inmates may receive photograph postcards no larger than 4โx 6โ in dimension. These photograph postcards must meet the same standards as all other non-privileged incoming mail.
Metered (no postage stamps) postcards for outgoing non-privileged mail will be available for purchase from the Centerโs Commissary and will be no larger than 4โx 6โ in dimension.
All written incoming non-privileged (personal) mail will be delivered to the inmate in digital format and the inmate will be allowed to request the hard copy upon release. All document request policies will apply at the time of the request.
Books, Magazines, and newspapers are no longer allowed to be mailed to inmates in the corrections center. Inmate will have access to reading material on the inmate tablet and the centerโs library. Reading materials are also available for purchase via commissary.
Packages to the inmates are not authorized.
